I’d like someone to make a case that Toomey has even a remote shot in a general election against a Democrat.
My beautiful state has totally gone blue pretty much. I still blame Ridge. He started the fall when he left the governor’s job and basically his seat went Democratic and we have not been the same since.

Oh my county Lehigh Valley will vote for Toomey FOR SURE. We loved him when he was representing us....now for the rest of the state?????

Maybe he doesn't, but we need to quit voting for moderates in our primaries.
Moderate democrats from "conservative" districts vote their party line on important issues. Moderate republicans like Specter, McCain, Graham, Snowe and Collins reach across the aisle in the spirit of bi-partisanship. "Moderates" from both parties screw us regularly. I will not vote for one in a primary just because I think they are the most electable.
Electability is usually determined by the MSM and their polls! "Electability" is what put McCain on the GOP ticket.
