I'm certainly sympathetic to Ziegler. The Annerberg School made a mistake and should have credentialed him as a journalist so he could have filmed inside the auditorium. It is a journalism school after all.

But, they're also a private organization on the campus of a private university. Zeigler was told he could film from a specific location. Zeigler refused. A duly sworn officer of the law nicely asked him to obey a lawful order, Ziegler refused. The cops were well within their rights to restrain and remove him. The University could have charged him with trespassing. They didn't (I don't believe)

I don't like it when libs do it and conservatives shouldn't be hypocritical in this instance. I would be nice, however, if colleges and university were as eager to maintain lawful order when conservatives speak at their institutions as they are when libs hold events.
