The mere fact that the words “immediate danger” to the life of the hostage are used - says it all.

There was no order from Obama. Captain Frank Castellano took matters into his hands using the only legal recourse - “immediate danger” - available for that. God bless him!

You dont suppose the WH wants it to be perceived as Obama saving the day to take the attention off the tea parties about to happen, do you?

They are now saying that Obama gave permission to use military force on both Friday and Saturday. But I’m still not convinced that the military didn’t already have standing permission in this case and that the claims of Obama giving permission is simply Obama trying to take credit for it.

It would be a nice question to ask the military to get clarity though.
