Not me. I'm a flake of the universe.

To Be Carried

Out from an unseen nowhere,
we fall as snowflakes to Earth,
We surrender our souls to flowers,
our spot in the ground gives them birth,
Our life's the tumultuous passage,
the dance through the air coming down,
Our fate is to nest with our fellows,
in frozen soft clouds on the ground.

Our hope is a sometime awakening,
the warmth of the sun in the Spring,
A knitting of air and of sunlight,
a column of gossamer string,
A sweet-scented fragrance to fill up the air,
and be carried somehow to somewhere,
A polished and pleasant essence of grace,
to be carried somehow to somewhere.
