No doubt it would be dominated by "Ion, The Tiger".
Actually, yes. I’m in Southern California.
What’s going on up there?
Hello from somewhere in the IE.
I know!
A WHOLE WEEKEND!
Who would have guessed?
And...the forecast keeps getting better!
WOO HOO!
Good luck getting into Folklife..
I’d rather listen on the computer than try to go down there!
(but, that’s just me!)
Kitteh represents my family ...
I hope you all have a great weekend in spite of the sunshine! We thunderstorms forecast through midweek, which I understand will get a lot of auto race people wet.
For “folklife,” we have our very own Tex-Mex liturgical selections, including batty Pat on backup percussion.
I get potassium from my prenatal multivitamins, which also have a lot of iron since pregnant women tend to be anemic. You must have *some* iron in your soil, but maybe your spinach would be more nutritious if you sowed some nails first.
You can get potassium at Wal-Mart.
I also buy Emergen-C, which is not only a vitamin, but it helps your immune system. Also at Wal-Mart.
Hiya, Fan!
Morning!
How are you feeling this morning?
Good morning! I’m not feeling bad. My back doesn’t hurt, but my legs were sore last night so I had trouble sleeping. I’m filling out camp forms today instead of cleaning!
Anoreth’s already been to Mass, and the rest of us will leave around 12 (local time).
Greetings!
Legs are kind of just “there” until they begin to hurt.
Try some heat on them when you get home.
I LOVE how many pairs of underwear are in that picture!
Sorry for the wet auto race people.
I think they’re used to it though...
I’ll send Andrew out to help Pat.
He’ll bring his own tin-foil.
You should know that if it’s clean and fresh from the dryer, it belongs to the cat...;o]
Just 1/2 a cup of mint leaves supposedly has all these nutrients (dang! why won't that image show up??)
Total Carbohydrate 7.0g
Dietary Fiber 6.0g
Sugars 0g
Protein 3.0g
Vitamin A 71% ...!!
Vitamin C 20%
Calcium 18%
Iron 58% ...!!
And that's really only about a quarter of a cup, after you've blenderized it for the pesto (drastic reduction in volume.)
But it doesn't taste that minty, to tell the truth.
I wonder if it's too early in the year to harvest mint? Not enough oils in the leaves yet?
And the roots all run horizontal, just 1 centimeter or so under the surface! How do they get all that iron from the earth's core? :o)
Ears perked for how's it goin' you and The Coming One.
I haven’t tried to harvest herbs yet, except chives. Maybe it will be another week before the Brother’s born. Maybe it will be tomorrow. I’ll make sure everyone knows!
Hi Face!
Just taking a break from planting flowers...it’s windy, sunny, and 69 degrees.
How are you?
I’m taking it pretty easy today, because I did so much yesterday. It’s SW@12-17, 10%, 87F, here.
Did you plant any pansies?
No. I love them, but I’m not ruthless enough to trim them back enough to continue flowering.
Multi colours of dalias, red salvia, purple, pink, and white cosmos, and two other daisy-like annuals I hadn’t heard of before. (Their names are on the tags in the garden.) One is tangerine with a purple centre, and one is purple with a dark blue centre.
I wanted a blast of colour in the flower bed this year.
I’m too tired to do any more today. :-)
