It is an interesting list.
I am curious and want to understand:
1. The purpose of the list?
2. What are you trying to achieve And convey by the list?
3. There are many different “forms of war”. Please define precisely the difference you mean between “Wars are one kind of thing — while actions in which countries try to “test you” are a different type of thing” - your sentence quoted is vague to me.
4. What are your prescriptions for the future, based on your list, and the difference you specify as “wars are one kind of thing” while “actions...to test you”... ?
I am not trying to criticize you, just want to Clearly understand your point(s).

Well..., it just started with a simple post yesterday and two little items on it... I never intended for that list to come about... LOL... Here’s where it all started, and then some FReepers started giving me some more events.. :-) They would say, “add this” or “you forgot that”... and thus... here it is...

Nothing much, except that I put a lot of time into it, after a bunch of FReepers kept telling me about this and that, which wasn’t in there.
After I kept adding the items the FReepers were giving me, I started getting sorta proud about having done it. Then it looked good to me, to have compiled it... :-)

The easiest way to say it is probably to say what is *not* in there... World War 1 and 2, the Korean War, the Vietnam War, Gulf War 1 and 2, Afghanistan...
I’ll let someone else compile a list of battles and such for those. That sounds like way too much work for me... :-)

Well, I have no idea about future wars. All I can list, so far are the wars that I know about. Those are the ones that I’ve listed (which are not in there...). But someone else can compile a list of events within those wars... As I said, that sounds like a lot more than I was thinking about from my first post of yesterday... LOL...
