“Gonna test and arrest us all for driving under the influence of working too hard at unnatural hours and living too far from work?”

What’s your point? They don’t “test” for sleepiness (although they do pull-over cars for driving erratically, which could be due to sleep) because there is no test for sleepiness. On the contrary, there is a test for drunkenness. You can argue against testing people for drunkenness, but the sleepiness analogy is not appropriate.

My point is that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. And why beholdest the state the mote that is in my neighbor's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in mine own eye? If my neighbor's driving drunk, I'm not going to cast the first stone at him, and neither will I condemn him, because I do just as badly much more often, driving home half-asleep after shift work. I lament the arbitrary and unfair intent and application of our various local, state, and federal laws, and I do what I can to protect myself from idiotic laws and idiots enforcing them. Hence, I have little to say to any cop.
