And I am not a Newt hater. I was very disappointed in his joint ads with Pelosi, though, and he seems to be fumbling about for his voice. The Pelosi stuff and some other positions he has advocated these last few years are signs of drift from his clear conservatism. But he had a fantastic article on how Bush had failed to properly prosecute the Iraq war.
It is too bad he let the Clinton machine destroy him, he was great. There have been several times I thought he might make a comeback, the latest being in the 2008 election. Now I am convinced he can't. But he can become influential again if he regains his consistency and quits trying to get the MSM to like him.
