“There was an article conveniently released a few weeks ago in which a woman remembers having a conversation with the doctor who supposedly delivered Obama. She remembers the conversation because when she asked the doctor friend over dinner if anything unusal had happened this week, he told her that “Stanley” had a baby. The woman’s father’s name was Stanley too I think, so that’s why she “remembered” it. The aforementioned doctor is deceased.”

I read that article, too - I don’t believe it said that he was the delivering doctor. The impression I got was that he had heard this from colleagues in the hospital.

To my knowledge, Obama has never said a doctor’s name...

THe article did say that he was the delivering doctor. A few minutes of googling by freepers found that he had retired from active practice several years before 0bama was born and had been working in an administrative position at that time. So he couldn’t have delivered him. It was quite clear that the woman claiming all this had made it up entirely.

The article does say that the woman was having dinner with the doctor who supposedly delivered Obama: Dr. Rodney T. West, who passed away in February at the age of 98.
