"Are You Punch Drunk?"

http://www.cbsnews.com/sections/60minutes/main3415.shtml I wasn't going to watch. But somehow I couldn't help myself...

I hope this isn't a duplicate thread. But I looked for Freeper comments about Hussein's appearance on 60 Minutes tonight and I can't find anything. I wasn't going to watch. But somehow I couldn't help myself: kind of like driving past the car crash on the highway and not wanting to see it but looking anyway. Is anyone seeing what I am seeing????? Our esteemed Teleprompter Titan is laughing about the economy, about terrorism, about all of the serious issues before our country! Glib, arrogant, smirk, aloof: none of these begin to fit. He is head back, gut busting, belly laughing! MOCKING! There you go. Even the interviewer asked him why he is so seemingly unconcerned about the seriousness of what he is talking about. "Are you punch drunk, Mr. President?" More heartfelt guffaws. Hahahahaha. "It's the only way to get through it!" If that charade isn't shocking enough, he went on to SLAM Cheney's most accuate assessment that Bamster's actions re: Guantanamo have made our country less safe...If I heard correctly(and right now, I think(hope) I be dreaming), Odumbo said that Cheney is full of it and was wrong!! and in the future, we have to find a way to somehow decide which terrorists are bad and which ones are good.(yah, right) and then let's only punish the bad ones. Excuse me? But of course, he doesn't want to deal harshly or hurt the feelings of any of those really nice terrorists who want to kill us. He wants to negotiate with them, especially the ones in Iran. I feel like I am in a really bad SNL skit... This man is a despicable excuse for a human being. He is now mocking some really good people who care about keeping us safe...while at the same time, giving aid and comfort to the enemy. And his substantial ears are glowing red: from Psych 101, this is a sign of extreme discomfort of lying: in this case, probably both. Oh, and what's with the Bidenlike choppers?: TOTUS must have gone to Joe's dentist: maybe they got a two for one special. If he can flash those brilliant pearly whites at the American public, it's a distraction you know...and maybe then we won't notice what is happening to our country.

There is another thread somewhere there, but yours is a brilliant rant, I must say. BUMP to it.
To: Mountain Mary
His eyes move to the left frequently. Is he using TOTUS during this interview?

I really think Osama is starting to lose it. Showing now that he is truly out of his depth.

I can’t WAIT for Bill Cunningham tonight(unless he tapes earlier) , Laura I. in the morning and of course, Hannity,Levin and El Rushbo in the afternoon. They’ll have soundbites extraordinaire.

I’m not watching, just had my dinner, but I think that Steve Kroft’s asking an impertinent question like that of the POTUS is quite significant of something going on in the editorial rooms of the MSM, don’t you get the same impression?! Wow, did they ever confront Dubya or Bubba in this way?

Politics | Sun, Mar 22, 2009 at 5:08:56 pm PDT Heres a transcript from President Obamas appearance on 60 Minutes tonight, in which Obama kept breaking into laughter so much while discussing the total collapse of the US economic system, Steve Kroft asked him if he was punch-drunk: PRESIDENT OBAMA: I just want to say that the only thing less popular than putting money into banks is putting money (LAUGHS) into the auto industry. So STEVE KROFT: 18 percent are in favor. PRESIDENT OBAMA: (LAUGHS) Thats STEVE KROFT: Seventy-six percent against. PRESIDENT OBAMA: It it its not a high number. STEVE KROFT: Youre sitting here. And youre you are laughing. You are laughing about some of these problems. Are people going to look at this and say, "I mean, hes sitting there just making jokes about (LAUGHTER) money How do you deal with I mean, wh explain - PRESIDENT OBAMA: Well STEVE KROFT: the mood and your laughter. PRESIDENT OBAMA: Yeah, I mean, theres got to be STEVE KROFT: Are you punch drunk? PRESIDENT OBAMA: No, no. Theres gotta be a little gallows humor to (LAUGHS) get you through the day. You know, sometimes my team talks about the fact that if if you had said to us a year ago that the least of my problems would be Iraq, which is still a pretty serious problem I dont think anybody would have believed it. But but weve got a lot on our plate. And a lot of difficult decisions that were going to have to make. 27 downup468spyemail thisprint

I DVRed CBS for an extra hour in case the games ran over, so I have the interview, just haven’t watched it, yet.
But, one of my brothers did and left me a message saying that the Buffoon in Chief was just yukking it up.
He said Barry’s cocktail hour must have started early or else he was back tooting the Happy Dust.
Completely inappropriate and bizarre behavior .

Our first Stoner President. How sweet!
To: Mountain Mary
When Barry is off the teleprompter, it is like he was injected with truth serum-you get a better idea what's on his feeble mind. Are we dealing with a Karaoke President?

I watched for a couple of minutes beyond this particular exchange and, to me, Kroft folded like a cheap suit after that. I refused to listen to bambi insult VP Cheney so I turned the channel.
To: Mountain Mary
"Are You Punch Drunk?"No. Just drunk. Or high.
Or maybe he's just practicing for the Special Olympics.

(Yes, Gorbachev is better than Obama. At least Gorbachev admitted he was a Communist)
To: Mountain Mary
I think he’s doing as well as can be expected for somebody who never ran anything but a campaign—his self-discribed needed experience for being POTUS...because he didn’t have TOTUS.

BTW — the word that is obscured by his laugh is “AUTO”, as in auto industry. I’m glad that he thinks this economic crisis that he engineered is so funny.
