With missing modesty, I think I make a great point in the Blog post about this concept of “celebrities” doing these tasks and how it’s flies in the face of the original, rather noble, premise of “The Apprentice”.

As for “Chopping Block”, I tell you, the food critic’s take on the food is, as you say, the best thing about this show.

But White has GOT to lighten up, goodness. And for sure I don’t get the couple thing at all.

White is what he is. I actually got to know the man very well when I read both of Ramsay's biographies. I also have White's biography but haven't cracked it since hearing he didn't write it himself (while it's _very clear_ that Gordon wrote his own - or did much of the writing.)

Anyway, White is about 10x the lunatic Gordon ever was and has 10x the temper. We've just never really seen this and he's really mellowed since he's gotten out of the kitchen. He was also very mild during the UK Hell's Kitchen 2 series.
