Aaron Blake of TheHill.com reported on March 16, 2009 that Pennsylvania Governor Ed Rendell(D), Sen. Bob Casey(D), and Vice-President Biden(D) are encouraging Senator Specter to leave the Republican party and join the Democrats. Let's give them a hand. Actually, I take that back. Dems and Reps are now virtually the same thing.

Its very simple. When up for relection conservatives and republicans just withdraw their support for this RINO wimp.
Oh, I get it, and hope he does take a hike at the right time. But why give the Dems a veto-proof Senate majority now this way?

It's not like they don't already have one with him and the Wicked Witches from the North (Maine) anywise.
I say, conservatives ought to pressure him to leave. This would damage him somewhat in the eyes of the constituents in PA, and would free up Pat Toomey (a TRUE conservative) from having to waste money in a bruising primary battle in 2010. Who knows, if Specter were a Dem, and Toomey the GOP candidate, the GOP establishment might possibly actually support him this time around.

Why would dems want him to officially switch? As it now stands they have a mole in on all of the republican planning sessions!
Thanks. I have been posting it whenever I find a relevant article about Specter. The signatures roll in every time.
I would love for it to happen. I think expelling it would would help to define what I republican is - and is not. But I’m just one goofball with a little petition and no forum. so, realistically, I will be content with giving like-minded people a place to express their frustration as one.
