"Now there's a campaign...send the RNC a penny with a brief note..."Here's change you can believe in...."

No, send it with a note that says: "Not a penny more from me because of Steele's incendiary and ugly comments about Rush Limbaugh."

PS-I am sending Steele a letter expressing my disgust for what he said about Rush. And what will concern him most is the effect his remarks will have on donations from conservatives. Really Mr.Steele, you could not have done a better job of insulting true conservatives.

Frankly, I wouldn't take this too seriously. Steele will be glad to have Rush on his side when the time comes. This is, to be honest, a black guy talking ya-ya with other black guys and that kind of "dialog" never yields anything terribly useful.

Don't be a frickin' idiot. How some of you guys can keep making excuses for the GOP leadership just astounds me. No wonder we have sunk to the lowest point ever. Steele is simply another POS RINO. Real men(and women)don't talk one way to one special group, then talk another way to another group. That is called being two faced and if that is what he is doing then he is ever a bigger POS than I thought.

Wake up, time to dump the GOP and form a new party. There is no way to clean it up and we will not have a decent candidate in 2012 if we continue with these a**hats. They are already trying to push Romney onto us.

People had better get over the GOP, it does not represent Conservatism, it represents liberals on a budget as opposed to radicals without one. The country clubbers running the GOP have become the moderate wing of the democratic party. The sooner we all get with the game and realize it the better we will all be.

Good point about the huge amount of people who showed up to hear Rush. Good point wondering if Steele noticed that. LOL

This reminds me of the 2008 campaign and how the crowds never started appearing until Sarah Palin was added to the ticket. The crowds were massive for her, but before that McCain drew extremely small crowds.

The difference is breath-taking.

All I'm saying is in my opinion the image of Rush comes off differently on TV than when I listen to him on the radio. He appears ill at ease. His comments were spot on and were eaten up by the conservative crowd but his performance was not at the same level as his radio show. He didn't always finish every point he was making as he was jumping around to much. Just exerting my freedom of speech something I thought all conservative here believed in.

You must have watched another Rush Limbaugh then. Anyone who thought he was ill at ease doesn't like Rush, period. You obviously don't like him and are trying to act as if you do in order to avoid being flamed. Rush was BETTER than he is on Radio, he was working without a scipt, without a teleprompter, all off the top of his head and he talked for about 90 minutes almost non stop. He was at the top of his game and his message was right on. For Steele to trash him like this is just unbelievable. Didn't he hear the response of the crowd? Does he think te is not insulting the crowd as well as Rush? Does he think the crowd that was giving him standing ovations, not to mention the millions watching on TV doing the same thing, are going to all of a sudden say, "Oh, yeah, Rush was terrible, we were wrong yesterday!". The idiot has just divided his base, once again. Maybe more than divided it. I have been putting off becoming an Independent but this week I am changing to Independent. No more GOP.

What the hell are you talking about women being intimidated? President Bush was right on taxes and right on the WOT but was unable to communicate his positions. That’s where style is important to add to the substance.

Come on, stop making excuses.
He’s not 17.
If one doesn’t know the drill by his, advanced, age then they are stupid.

Anyways, Steele seemed to be a ‘Me Too’ response of the GOP elite to Obama. Look around, find an nice black liberal/moderate black guy and give him a big chair and an office.

I have sent an email to Steele as well.

Good point about the donation level.

This again reminds me of the 2008 campaign wherein the RNC was getting small donations, if any, until the day Sarah was announced as the VP Pick. I think we all remember that donation sky-rocketed that very day!

Fast forward to today. Steele’s reaction and comments about Rush’s speech are not going to help the RNC donations.

They are not stupid. They are against Rush, what he stands for.

The GOP is just big business, big government, slightly less anti-Second, slightly less Kelso supporting, gay loving, mushy Christian Democrats.

This is, to be honest, a black guy talking ya-ya with other black guys and that kind of "dialog" never yields anything terribly useful.

Considering the percentage of the black community that voted for Obama, black Republicans have a problem: they must either be RINOs who decline to oppose Obama in any meaningful way, or be ostracized by their fellow blacks. For many, race trumps party.

I thought his speech was outstanding. He was a little manic and squirmy. He kept pulling his jacket closed and tugging his open shirt collar.

I hadn't noticed that Rush had put so much weight back on. He sweated all the way thorugh and his face looked flush (probably from the golf course) in contrast to the black suit and shirt.

His jowls were most prominent. As a 62 year old fat guy, my first reaction was I hope his health is okay so he can be around a long time. This on the day Paul Harvey passed.

If I may. I believe Ann Coulter has the best wit going and I like her sharp rapier slashes on the libs. But she has to stop brushing her hair back every 20 seconds. She's a looker and needs to act like it on TV.

Bush never had any difficulty communicating his positions on taxes and the WOT. He was a failure because he was wrong on so many other issues, most importantly illegal immigration and overall entitlement spending, and he wouldn’t stand up to the advance of liberal programs with even a single Veto. And with regard to women, sorry, that’s the truth. They have consistently voted for the wuss-ass, soft, emotional bs liberal politicians with the liberal positions and they have crushed this country in the process.

Here we are back to the future. I believe this site was a CONSERVATIVE site. Not a republican site. The GOP has become the RINO party of perpetual losers. The proof is out there. The proof is Barack Hussein Obama.

Do we need to form the Conservative Party of America? Yep, we do. The GOP perpetual party of losers will quickly go the way of the Whigs.

Until the GOP DC losers are dumped, the democrats will win. The GOP stands for nothing and people know it.
