Now, how do you suppose Maya, born in Jakarta and living in Jakarta, and the daughter of a Muslim Indonesian became a U. S. citizen?

Because her mother was a U.S. citizen and under the laws in effect in 1970 then her daughter was a U.S. citizen too. Duh.

The answer is, Anna filed for an amended Certification of Live Birth for her daughter, who was unquestionably an Indonesian citizen.

Dual citizen.
