Rental house rates at the beach or the lake are HALF before mid-May and after Labor Day. We’re planning our lake vacation the second week in September. Our oldest daughter is in college locally, but if she can’t cover her assignments online, she can drive into town for class.
We rent a condo on the beach in Florida every year in the beginning of May. You can’t beat the prices! One the many things I love about homeschooling :)
We love getting a house in the Outer Banks, NC in September. The weather is usually beautiful, the water is warm, the beaches are practically empty. The other kids we meet are homeschooled too. It’s one of our favorite homeschooling perks.
