It’s always “alleged” until conviction. I could kill a nun in broad daylight on the courthouse steps and I would only be an alleged killer until convicted by the jury.

And when the killer commits suicide at the scene of the crime (or is killed by an officer or someone else who is armed), they still refer to them as “alleged”. Film evidence etc. never factors into it either.
And dead people are not sentenced so there will never be “conviction” in those cases.
How about calling him her alleged husband while we are at it.

The alleged beheading of 37-year-old Aasiya Hassan by her husband could ....
Should have been:
The beheading of 37-year-old Aasiya Hassan allegedly by her her husband could .....
The beheading is fact, the perp is alleged.
