I presume you are just leaving the sarcasm tags out of your posts on this thread. Giving LEO’s mini-guns is one of the dumbest things I’ve ever heard. Those things are best suited for military/national security applications.

No, no, no. It’s simply a deterrence.

I see no law enforcement need for a GE minigun (though I'll concede that it's awesome). None, nada, zip, zilch, zero. If the cops are confronted with a problem that requires a motorized 7.62 NATO Gatling gun, it's time to contact the governor about National Guard deployment.

It wouldn't surprise me to learn that the Secret Service had a few of these rigs, though.
