You two need to get off this kick that it is somehow our fault that our leaders are spineless wimps. They were voted in as Republicans, and I expect them to vote like Republicans.

It IS NOT our fault that they won’t do it.

Good grief, why is it my responsibility how these jack asses vote. It is our job to send them to Washington and their responsibility to follow through.

Where our responsibility lies now, is removing them from office.

This is like, really old news. The opportunities presented 15 years ago have been largely sqandered.

The time is now to go at it again. It can be done but it will be a lot more difficult than it was in ‘94.

Well, we all agree that the Republican Party is broken. The question is, What to do?

One answer is to fix the party. That’s OK, but not much use if they keep turning around and betraying us.

Another answer is to vote for an alternative party. But not much use if it’s one of those third parties that siphons off 2 or 3 percent of the vote and puts the Dems over the top.

Also, and always, we need to combine libertarians, fiscal conservatives, social conservaties, religious conservatives into one big coalition. That’s what has always happened whenever conservatives have managed to win. We NEED basic liberties, we NEED fiscal sense, we NEED smaller government, and we NEED right to life, traditional families, and decent moral education for children. Otherwise, it won’t fly.

So, two ways to do it. And we need real leadership. Not some whack job who appeals to just one faction, but a real leader. Sarah Palin would fill the bill, for one, but can she make it? Not unless we also clean out the RNC and the Republican leadership who will do everything they can to block her.

In any case, we need to stick together or hang separately, and we need to find someone to get behind. Unfortunately there was no one to get behind in the last primary race. No one. I liked Fred, others liked Hunter, but neither of them stood a chance.

When the Left took over our schools and education system over 20 years ago, they stopped educating our youth and mainly indoctrinated them.

Now that the product of that indoctrination has come of voting age, it will take another generation or two to turn it around. As these brainwashed, primordial, evolutionary amoebas grow up and learn about the real World, way too much valuable time will have been lost. There is also, no spiritual or moral base left among them that will give them inspiration.

False gods like Obama/Marxism are superficial and never last long. Unfortunately, it will take a complete end to our society for it to be rebuilt. In the mean time, we must preserve what little we have left from our perspective.

Let's not swallow the ‘political fluoride’ and try to fight against the GOP.

The GOP is composed of who the people elected.

The American people are the ones not doing their part. This is (was?) a free government OF the people and it is the peoples responsibility to make themselves heard and demand the ‘representatives’ follow through.

But the people have become lazy. They want everything done the way they want it - without actually having to do their homework and/or be actively involved.

Now, they just sit back, armchair quarterbacking. If you want to keep a free country OF the people, then get off your duffs and get active. How many of you ‘get the GOPer’s are active in your local Republican Committees? How many of you write letters to the editor to inform the sheeple of what's going on? How many of you —— well, read my tagline.

In the meantime, don't get sucked into the very clever drive to slam the GOP and start a new party. That's exactly the route the Socialist's would like to see us do. They know that if enough people turn away now and put their time and energy into starting a new party, that they will have won the final battle.

There is NOT TIME enough to build a NEW party in sufficient numbers to make even a small blip on the political radar.

We do not have that kind of time.

Want to get the GOP back on track? GET ACTIVE - starting locally. If you want a “new” party, get active - “take over” your local Republican organizations, get appointed into leadership, get appointed rep to the state conventions. Get in there and change it...it's easier than you might think.
and the time to get busy is TODAY...

otherwise, Stuff it. (read my tagline)

Is the GOP the whole problem - or are YOU part of the problem?

Ummmm.....this sounds just like the other members of the UnAmerican Democrat Party members who sign up here to tell us what to do and think.

I think that's a VERY real possibility - see my post # 166

It's as discouraging to see the sheeple response here in FR - swallowing the Kool aide - "Yeah, let's dump the GOP. That's the answer!"

Time for a new, national CONSERVATIVE Party. Jettison the RINOS. Let the GOP go the way of the Whigs. We’ll be a minority party for a while, but hell, we’re that now, and for the forseeable future, with the RINOs.

The Socialists are in charge now and every day, are solidifying their control. There is NO time to start and build a new party...and I think most folk know this, particularly the Socialist moles who push this idea.

You want a 'new' party - join your local Republican Committee TODAY and get busy. It's still a gov't of the people - but not for long, if we don't roll up our sleeves and get into the fray, starting at ground level/...see my post #166

It is ALL out responsibilities how they have strayed off the reservation. How many people here have taken the time to call, email or fax even ONE communication to their representatives over the stimulus bill — or anything else??? Passivity is why we are where we are.. I have no use for the democratic party, but they are the poster child for activism, the GOP — Well they do things like come on FR and complain and do nothing... where is OUR move-on.org??? We don’t have one because we haven’t demanded one, we are too busy saying we are just leaving the GOP!

Exactly... this is the stuff we should be trying to clean up.. not taking out tiddlie winks and going home like so many demand over and over again... people like Hellman would just follow over to whoever we replaced the GOP with.

You are making a common mistake. You think that you are on fire on this subject and nobody else is. Think again. Many people are making phone calls and firing off emails.

If not one email or phone call or letter were sent off, whose fault would it be if Republicans didn’t vote like Republicans? The answer, is the Senator or Representative that cast the vote.

And quite frankly it bothers me considerably when assholes come on this forum to insult people who have been fighting the Conservative fight before you were out of diapers.

If you wish to insult Conservative people, get on down the road to DU.

BTW, there is a reason why we don’t have a move-on dot org. If you have been there, you should know what it is. We don’t have the mentally ill here. Well, at least I didn’t think we did.

Don’t give me that DU crap! It’s easy to sit back and bitch and then do nothing.... if people get off their doufuous then we could make a difference, saying we have to form a new party is defeatism and why we have a one-party rule right now.

My rep is Jim Cooper, a quasi-blue dog Democrat. I have emailed him but I imagine he is only too eager to show his allegiance to the zero.

I just spoke with his office and was told he is NOT happy with the current plan. We shall watch and see...
