But Don't Question Their Patriotism: Greg Craig

Remember during the 2004 presidential debates, liberal/Democrat Bush-haters were floating conspiracy theories that Bush was wired and that Karl Rove or Dick Cheney were feeding him lines?

Then you’d think the same liberals/Democrats would be slightly more than appalled by President Obama’s puppet-master. White House counsel Greg Craig standing right there in plain view in Obama’s recent public appearances, including the one where he signed the executive order to close Guantánamo Bay. Even worse, on more than one occasion Obama had to turn to Craig to get lines fed to him.

And the still fawning media couldn’t have cared less.

So who is Greg Craig? Was this extemely powerful man vetted by anyone? Did the media look at his past with a fine tooth comb like they did Sarah Palin and Joe “The Plumber” Wurzelbacher? Apparently not.

But a simple search on Wikipedia reveals that the White House counsel of the current POTUS has represented one high-profile scumbag after another, including many whose allegiances to the United States were questionable or non-existent altogether.

For starters:

Craig served as Senator Edward Kennedy’s Senior Advisor on Defense, Foreign Policy and National Security issues for five years (1984-88). In 1997 Secretary of State Madeleine Albright made Craig one of her senior advisors, and he served as Director of Policy Planning from 1997–98. [...]

OK, fine, whatever. Ted Kennedy and Madeleine Albright. Two Democrat hacks. Then the plot thickens:

In September 1998 President Clinton appointed Craig as Assistant to the President and Special Counsel in the White House, where he directed the President’s team defending against impeachment. He was also a member of the President’s trial team in the United States Senate.

Aw, isn’t that nice? Craig assisted his old friend Slick Willy during his impeachment. What a pal. Now put down any sharp objects you might be holding because then it gets really, really sick:

In 1981, [Craig] represented John Hinckley, Jr., who tried to assassinate Ronald Reagan. Backed by overwhelming psychiatric opinion, he led Hinckley’s successful insanity defense.

Wow, so this guy was responsible for getting the attempted killer of a U.S. president off by reason of insanity. His mother must be so proud.

He represented the Cuban father of Elián González during the 2000 child custody dispute which ended when U.S. Marshals enforced court orders that the child be moved from the Florida home of relatives, where they had influenced the child to make a number of videos lashing out at his father. The courts ultimately supported the father's contention that the child should be returned to his custody, a decision father's rights groups around the world greeted with overwhelming approval.

Father’s rights? If that’s really the case, then Elián González is really an enigma. Not only was he—to paraphrase Ann Coulter from her book Treason—the only illegal alien the left didn’t like, but his custody case also the only one where the left supported the father’s rights over the mother’s. I’ll bet anyone that if it were Papi González who had fled Castro’s utopia with Elián and the mother had stayed back in Cuba fighting for her baby back, the left would have been squarely on Mami’s side.

Incidentally, Byron York just wrote about Craig and the Elián González case over the weekend.

And finally:

Craig represented United Nations Secretary-General Kofi Annan during the Volker Commission's investigations in 2004 into the scandals involving the oil-for-food programme.

Recently, he represented Pedro Miguel González Pinzón, a Panamanian legislator wanted in the US for the murder in 1992 of a US soldier, and the attempted murder of another.

Wonderful. America screwers, America haters, and American killers. What a guy Obama picked. What character! What judgment! What intelligence!

To recap, Greg Craig, one of the most powerful people currently in the White House has worked for:

Now add to that résumé a piece of crap Democrat president whose goals are to turn the United States into a socialist third-world country that is completely stripped of protection from its sworn enemies.

I don’t know what’s worse, that Craig has surrounded himself with scum his entire professional life or that the media doesn’t even give a damn.

Every time I learn a little more about President Golden Calf and the people who surround him, my heart sinks a little lower into my chest, and I weep a little more for my beloved country. Can anybody give me the name of a single person in the upper echelons of our federal government who actually has a history of having America’s best interest at heart?

Welcome to the future, suckers.

This administration with it's cesspool of supporters was voted in because this country has raised too many generations on the nonsense that has become public education. Only "group think" is allowed and there is NO room for distention (unless you wish to be ostracized by the teacher and the students). The public has been conditioned to “think like the crowd”.

My extremely intelligent sister and her husband are professors at a major university. They voted for Obama. After many discussions with them I have come to the conclusion that “educators” live in a BUBBLE. They believe that if WE are good people, then the rest of the world will follow America's lead and no one will want to harm us.

They are delusional simply because the people they surround themselves with ARE kind people like themselves and they believe no one (including Hamas, Iran, etc.) would react negatively unless PROVOKED.

The most unfortunate fallout from the "group think education" Americans have received is a perpetually expanding BUBBLE, one which very shortly, may forcefully include us all.

Another reason to “kill all the lawyers,” esp. Democratic ones. Someone back in history knew what lay in store for us if we got a country ruled by lawyers. Ashame no one paid him any attention except for the quote.
