TNR: Pay No Attention To The Democrat (In Handcuffs) Behind The Curtain

Just three weeks ago Eve Fairbanks at The New Republic tried to tell us why the tidal flood of scandals in the Democratic Party didn't matter. Her key arguments are:

• Most of the Democratic scandals have been on the state or local level.
• The Democratic scandals are not linked (and, to boot, are mostly so bizarre as to seem sui generis).
• The Democratic scandals do not involve top party leadership.
• People do not yet think the Democratic president sucks.

But Eve is wrong; the scandals do matter, and will matter more and more as time passes.

First, while most of the scandals have been on the state and local level, Eve forgets the rule about the party in power attracting the most attention. Now that the Democrats control both the executive and legislative branches, the light...

This lady is so off base. I cannot even picture the oval office without Clinton’s defilement coming in mind.

Read TNR’s article. She basically says “People actually like Obama, so it’s really okay. People hate Bush, so their crimes were horrible infringements that wipe with the Constitution.”
