My son went to a school like Dallas Academy; for learning disabled kids, about 140 students. Some sports they were not too bad in, like soccer. Others they stunk in, like basketball. Schools like that are very expensive and they dont get a normal cross section of kids to pick from. You get those with disabilities who can afford it. You get what you get, and usually theyre not particularly sports minded.

Their basketball team was so atrocious, they once lost 65-11. The other team only scored 12 points in the second half, because the coach wasn't an A-hole, like the coach of this womens team.

Sheesh, its unbelievable that people think this is a life lesson for anything except bad sportsmanship.

Exactly, this coach did little to teach his players a fundamental of Sports.

Grace in winning and losing.

You run up the score 60 to 0 by halftime, you are just an ass, pure and simple.

I get the feeling the definition of the word “sportsmanship” depends on the person.

If teams have that much of a disparity in their quality than any matchup is a “charity case” game for the better team. They are not their to play basketball. They are there as free therapy. That, frankly, sucks.

Maybe they SHOULD get the Harlem Globetrotters to play them.

The idea of REAL sports is that you do the best you can.
