What makes for civil war is civil unrest, where a segment of society is willing to break things and kill people without regard for their own well being in order to achieve a specific goal, say, the protection of the constitution of the US. To get to that point, I think, people would have to be suffering great injustices, such as mass rounding up and imprisonment... to be made to suffer for things such as holding to political views that prevent the “progress” of those in power. As of now, we only suffer belittlings, and brayings, nothing to get up in arms over. Nevertheless, the time may come...
