If oil prices start to raise over the next year Obama, Pelosi and Reid and the others will have to pull in their horns. If oil goes up to $60+ a barrel by November of this year and if these idiots want to stay in power they are going to have to allow a lot of drilling and exploration to help increase domestic supplies. (which they most likely will not) By November the next election cycle will be well under way and any stupid moves by the Dems on energy policy will make people angry and the loonie Dems will become vulnerable.

The democrat party is positioning to take advantage of hardtimes and they will create such if it doesn’t happen naturally. I generally agree, but that assumes that the Republicans are smart enough to use this as an issue. That’s a really big assumption.
