Excellent and accurate point. Why subject your children to state controlled brain-washing? Curriculum today is just that even when administered by reasonable and compassionate teachers - statist goals must be maintained.

On the subject of failing Christianity, that's another kettle of fish and deserves a thread of its own to even sketch out in broad form. Suffice it to say that the Church is failing - not Christ - and largely due to its acceptance and participation in the culture. IOW, Christians follow culture - not the opposite.

There you have it. I know plenty of families who put plenty of money out for Christian schools only for the kids to turn their back on their faith. Our country puts more thought,faith and money into hollywood. The other week while sick I watched a show on how hollywood use to be pro-Christianity. It was very enlightening.There were many fundraising events to help poor families and Christian schools. Now even the most popular celebrities go out of their way to bash anything to do with Christ. Especially the abusive way they use the Lord's name. Withdrawing from anything hollywood would be supporting Christian values. I met a monk once who said parents should throw their tv's out the windows because what comes from them is poison for the soul. And that was before it had really gotten bad. The discussion was family time in prayer,reading holy scriptures instead of the center of family life being tv. I for one am guilty of it. God forgive me.
