There’s a healthy part of me, I suppose it’s the Al-Anon part, that is nurturing a good chunk of detachment about it all, trying not to care too much, trying to take care of myself and not be too codependent toward my sick society! But even still, I watch....wait...type...phonebank & canvass...yell, scream, etc....
It is HOW we keep sober that matters most. Staying active and carrying the message to those who still suffer, as well as being a living example is how we change things.
Conservatism is a great part of this vital program. The principles we maintain go hand in hand with the results of recovery.

I do find post #56 to be more descriptive of what I feel than the BOHICA attitude of just “hitting bottom”. In my program, we do not have to accept unacceptable behavior. We can get off the downward elevator at any point. Allowing this illegal travesty and trying to get others to BOHICA over it is just enabling the behavior on the part of guvmint. Are we powerless over the guvmint?
