Must be the inspiration for John Kerry's "terrorism is a nuisance" concept of foreign policy. Zbig was highly visible during the Carter regime but never had a very coherent outlook. Sort of a bastardized
realpolitik one could say.
I think the 'rats liked him because with his accent he reminded them of Kissinger.

Tell me again how important he was in the Carter Administration ... Very important, he provided about 95% of that administration's foreign policy failings. If it hadn't have been for the hostage situation in Iran, we might not have seen Ronald Reagan's election in 1980.
And Zbiggy could have prevented that by sending CIA assassins to get Khomeini while the raghead was still living in France.
