If not, do you realize how many “irrational magic believing people” (your slur for theists) there are in Belize? Belize is VERY religious, so much so that almost everyone in Belize would say that they are part of some religion or the other. There are far more agnostics and atheists in America. Where’s your rational brain now?

Perhaps some atheist country would be more to his liking? There are some around even today.

I just looked it up and saw where he might have gotten the wrong impression of Belize. I hope Soliton did his homework beyond looking at the CIA factbook. While the stats show that Belize and the US are pretty close in those who say “none” (one of the issues I have with the factbook is that they put only 4% for ‘none’ in the US when many other surveys have it much higher), what they don’t show is the relative zealousness of the 90+% of believers (christians, muslims, etc) in Belize. I’ve had friends who have been there and they say they’re very, very devout there. What an odd place for a “freethinker” to go. You’d think he’d feel more home in Europe than Central America. Sheesh.
