A hmmmm moment when referencing the above.:

Paul Moren writes here:

In this perhaps unguarded moment, Obama became one of the few liberal politicians candid enough to admit that the Constitution poses a fundamental obstacle to their agenda.

In the 'Second City Cop' link I posted above, in one of the comment groups to one of the posted articles, it is continually mentioned how strange it is that the wire-taps and surveillance of Blago was ended so quickly. It is SOP for this type of surveillance to continue long enough to gather involved actors up and down the trail. This shows the LEO's (in this case the Feds) who the players are in the game.
The POs mention how non-standard the quick ending to this surveil is and that it leads them to believe that Blago is being used to curtail any further exposure up the line.

And the general opinion is that the order to halt the investigation with Blago came from higher-up the chain...very higher up.

I recommend reading the 'comments' section on the posted articles on 'Second City Cop.'

I posted this quote several l times during the election cycle hoping someone would run with it. I was shocked because this is a truly frightening concept (in my nonlegal opinion)

==================

Obama "clearly agreed with me at the time that a shift in constitutional thinking from a rights-based discourse to one that centered [on] responsibility and duties ... would be a good thing," West told Politico. "Partly because of those conversations, I don't find it surprising at all that Sen. Obama's speeches are often marked by calls to spark a sense of responsibility, rather than a sense of grievance."
