Exactly but they forgot to check Jr’s book where he wrote on pg 39 about the walking tours they did while his father was visiting in 1971. Jr wrote that he was shown “...my grandparents’ first house in Hawaii, before the one on University Ave., a house I had never known...” The house he is referring to in that passage is the large house at 2277 Kamehameha Ave. Remember in 1971 when his father was visiting he was recuperating from a recent car accident and had injured his leg so he was using a cane. It would have been impossible for Sr or Jr to walk 14 miles return to view the birth announcement house which is 7 miles from S. Beretania St. The house at 2277 Kamehameha Ave. is a short distance away from S. Beretania St. Oops, we all goofed the journalists confess, I only wish!
