This is the mentality that put this country where it is today, "Big government needs to do something about _____(fill in the blank), so long as it doesn't hurt me.", failing to realize that any law written is only a comma or an addendum away from effecting everyone.

Read the Constitution, learn it and repeat it at every opportunity. It isn't the government's responsiblity.
