IF he cared, his super majority in Congress would just add another exception or ten. It is just a law, not part of the Constitution. Although I expect them to have a go at a few changes there as well, but not too soon.

Actually no, because it only covers the Army and the Air Force. Not the Marines or Navy, although they are covered by Naval regulations to the same effect. But it certainly doesn't cover some not yet in existence Domestic Security Force, that is not even part of the DoD.

Unfortunately, our own Mr. Bush II repealed that act after 9-11. Federal troops can now be used to direct traffic (and kill you)
