I agree with that list. Duncan was a joke at RNC — why did he get the nod when Martinez quit?
I couldn’t believe it when Boehner didn’t follow threw and oust Cole. Cole surrounded himself with cronies and paid them big bucks as consultants. His fundraisers charged horrendous amounts that could have gone to candidates instead of lining their pockets.
Cole should have been fired as NRCC Chair and Boehner taken the heat. I could have handled losing seats better if I knew someone in charge cared and came on the scene late. Cole told one FL Freshman Congressman he wouldn’t get any help and he would to “work harder.” Couldn’t believe it when I was told that by his campaign consultant.
Pete Hoekstra (west MI) is a good one. High integrity too
You get the Rinos out the same way they got in, candidates and campaigns agianst them.
There’s not benefit, and a great many costs in building a new conservative party versus rebuilding the GOP as the Reagan conservative party.
I was there, it’s doable, and much more doable than building a new party with all its craziness. It would take three times a long to select and build a new party as compared to transforming the GOP.
Parties are not static entities. The party before Reagan is not the same as during Reagan is not the same as after Reagan is not the same as during Bush is not the same as after Bush.
There is a structure and a method already in place. Take control of it.
Much more efficient that fighting over building a new structure.
Here’s something to smile about.
Agreed.

I have a couple of questions to you ‘vetern’ FR’s:
1. Has anyone heard anything regarding Mark Levin starting a ‘fresh’ conservative movement? My brother told me that he heard Mark mention that on-air a few weeks ago. I would feel more comfortable with Mark Levin at the helm of a movement.
2. Personally I stopped filling out anything ‘on-line’ the day after the election. I’ve gotten a couple of ‘petitions’ in my email but refuse to participate. Does anyone know how our records are being handled at these sites? i.e. NRA, Pro-Life causes etc.
I’d be interested to hear what everyone is thinking. I hope I’m over-reacting however, my gut tells me otherwise.
I’m not sure what the answer is but I kind of look at this like the public schools though. Can it really be fixed or do we need to start over?
Ill contribute to anything Conservative.
See #22 also.
>I hope Im over-reacting however, my gut tells me otherwise.<
I think on line petitions are just address gathering systems. I rarely have ever signed one unless I believed the privacy statement.
Now, are you worried that the Socialists in DC are going to collect our names and send us all off to camps somewhere? That is something only God knows but I do know that He told me not to quit fighting for our Freedom until I’m dead. So, I’ll refuse to lay down as long as I’m breathing.
It’s quite easily fixed. It’s being “fixed” one way or the other constantly. It’s been changed before, and will be changed again. The means and method are the same. You organize at the grassroots and begin changing it from courthouse to courthouse, up through state houses on to federal...
If we cannot make conservative change within the party, it is pure folly to think we can make it with a new party.
thanks for your reply
Well, glock, I gotta blood blister on the tip of my nose from pinchin it so hard it bled this last election... A lotta good it did me, right???
