What always amazes me is how they go off on me in the blogs

On another thread I directed people to read your comments where you provided links to material. Sometimes it feels so pointless, because the lefties follow the Alan Colmes pattern. If I say "Liberal Politician A did this," the lib says "Oh, yeah? Well Conservative Politician B did THIS, so whaddaya say to THAT, huh, HUH?"

They can't answer, so they deflect. If the issue is that libs do something and conservatives don't, that's an OK response. But we fall into the trap of letting that tactic hamstring us; we don't ask certain questions because it would embarass "our guy," so their guy gets away with murder.

An honest response would be for a lib to respond to the substance of the charge, instead of saying, basically, "If the charge is accurate, it is still OK because one of you guys is guilty, too."

Obama's gotten away with so much of this because of that silly dance. We need to stick to facts, to reality, and libs I encounter (I work in Cambridge, MA, the Moonbat Mecca) simply don't care about that. Obama is, in his words, a blank screen on which they can project--facts don't matter, because each of his fans has a completely different movie playing, so there's no consistency. He is a fantasy construct, so his fans can't be bothered with things like having no resume--what difference does THAT make to someone you mostly imagine?

What it comes down to is that libs believe they are GOOD, and thus, any who oppose them are BAD. And so they have permission to lie and distort and especially good, to HATE those who oppose them. I mean, if you were going up against, oh, Hitler, you could lie and distort and hate him, too, right?

A vote for Obama HAS to be seen as a triumph against racism, because otherwise they couldn't fantasize that they're taking part in history--they're one with Rosa Parks, because they voted for a guy because of his race, and he triumphed. If they only voted for him because they were worried about the economy, well, that's not "heroic" is it?

They go off on the blogs against you because you oppose them, and thus you MUST be bad...and there's no brakes on what you can do to someone who's BAD.

I have always stated what I believed to be true. I have never knowingly lied in any article I’ve written. And I have also done the best I could to check my facts if there seemed to be any reason to doubt sources.

I have a definite perspective, and make no attempt to disguise it: I am a conservative.

BECAUSE I try to tell the truth, and BECAUSE I try to check facts rather than just run my mouth with a bunch of vicious rumors, there are limits beyond which I won’t go.

Frankly, the fact that I even CARE about “the truth,” or for that matter even believe that something called “truth” objectively exists at all, sets me apart from may liberals.

It’s for that reason that liberals can go so damn low: such as run stories that Sarah Palin pretended to be pregnant because she was covering for the fact that Todd Palin had impregnated his daughter Bristol.

What I have found is that many liberals have an ideological filter that prevents them from thinking about anything that challenges their worldview. The more bogus, fraudulent, and flawed a worldview is, the less you can seriously consider anything that undermines it.

So you’ll get the immediate fingerpointing at what some conservative may have done that allegedly is similar, or a patent dismissal of a point you make without any attempt made to refute it (prove it’s false), etc. That’s why I rarely bother to argue with libs past a certain point: once I see that sort of mindset, I just move on. No point arguing with a deluded fool who has no interest in trying to get to the truth.

Demonization of the opponent is the easiest way not to have to listen to what they say.

We can’t beat those people with rational discourse. We have to work on the people who still will listen.
