"better outcome than if a Big State Republican like McCain won." (Good piece)

Excerpt,his close:

Many will find the glee of the statist left over the next few days and weeks hard to endure, but to be honest I have been walking around with a grin all day. Finally the era of gradualism is over and the masks are going to come off. The USA has voted for statism and it is going to get exactly what it voted for at a juncture in history where it will very quickly be impossible to hide the cost of those votes.

Obama is not the start of a new era, he is the death knell for the old one.

I am moved by the remarkable transformation that has occurred in my lifetime,I sadly recall riots on the nightly news.

It is something to pause, savor and celebrate. America is truly the genuine land of opportunity, where anything is possible.

The left will nervously insist nothing has really changed.

But something very basic changed yesterday.

It is a fact we all should be happy about, we all have a reason to be proud.

Those awesome Stars and Stripes have an extra glow today. *** This reality stands in stark contrast to the unfortunate, peasant world view that comes with the package.

All the more historic,it shall be.

This great nation will sustain whatever damage they manage, the country certain to shift back hard once this blank slate is filled in with sordid, incoherent detail.

It is all downhill from here, they will begin digging very quickly, seeing the increasing depth of the hole as progress, giddy and giggling.

I hope that too many of us are not seriously hurt by this, for now it is time to watch the hopefully more comic than tragic show.

The left has exactly what they asked for,our crooked media complicit, corruption, issues, reality ignored.

Payback will come, and we will be stronger from the experience, more solid, more convinced of the wisdom of the great ideas we already hold dear.

Keep the faith,people.

Hopefully your right but in the meantime... does anyone know of any states willing to secede from the union? The military would join us since 80% hate hussein, thereby rendering the zero zombies without military protection.

How soon you forget the civilian protection corps. As strong and as numerous as the Military. Heard it on the radio, can’t find it in the Constitution, but then who cares about that?

His strategy basically is similar to 0bama’s: hoping that the country goes so bad so that he (or the candidate he likes) can come as a hero and people will vote for him. A good strategy for a candidate, a bad experience for the people of the country who have to face difficult life.

...If a state would secede, I’d go there in a heartbeat. Mine just became blue(VA). I am seriously considering Ajijic, Mexico or Central Europe as a move.

I sort of agree. The poor are always the most affected by socialism. When unemployement skyrockets, and the gullible realize their mortgages won’t be paid off, maybe people will realize what is reality and what is fantasy.

In 4 years, Obama will be 2% approval rating, and Congress will be negative.

Sarah Palin for President!

The Obama revolution will eventually end in civil war between the factions of victors. The author is correct. BO is an ending not a beginning. Bide our time and rebuild our strength.

I don’t believe that a civilian corps has any credible chance against battle-hardened troops just back from Iraq (when zero recalls them).

Any of the solid red states that have ample coastline to accommodate the navy....Alaska, Texas (Gulf), Mississippi, Georgia, South Carolina....

Now for shameless grovelling: I’m in Mass and NEED to get out. Anybody know any architecture firms in those aforementioned areas looking for a good Job Captain? Please drop me a line

Congress’ approval rating is at 11%, and it is going to go down from here.

MCCAIN: 55,386,310 OBAMA: 62,443,218
Margin of Victory 7 million -

That’s about the size of the city of San Francisco and the surrounding fringe

Better than secession, here’s a solid way to negate the liberal northeast votes. (eight more Texas US Senators and eight more Texas electoral college votes).

If the Dems are successful getting D.C ratified as a state, we will need this change impelemtned to fight back.

Sorry FRiend. The damage this man will do, with assistance from his allies in Congress and the MSM, will require decades to be undone. Pondering what he will do to the Supreme Court alone is a nightmare I don't want to consider. You cannot make a vast majority of the population dependent on government and expect the transformation to correct itself once the totalitarians become unpopular.

Murtha can call his constituents racists and rednecks and win handily because they know on which side their bread is buttered. Pollsters can tell us 84% of Americans don't agree with spreading the wealth yet vote overwhelmingly for a Marxist. Now we'll have 20 million illegals made legal. Where do you think their loyalties will lie? Will they want to work hard for things or get things for free? Although I appreciate your attempt at remaining positive in light of the disaster that was last night; but, for lack of a better phrase, you're trying to put lipstick on a pig. We're now living "Atlas Shrugged."

Glenn Reynolds, the Instapundit, wrote recently of his lack of concern for defense spending compared to social programs.

We can restore defense spending, pick up the pieces, the latter is never cut, never turned back.

Practical reality may hopefully force a change there, but I share your pessimism. Hopefully we will get up fast,in two years make a stunning comeback, when the country sees the world not miraculously changed.

I see an opening to break the I am black, therefore democrat gridlock, with the anticipated failures there.

Futurepundit response? Turns out he is not authentically black, after all?

Crazy fuel costs, stupidly ignoring our natural resources will be huge too. Steady pain at the pump would have forced that issue this time. I expect it will next time.

Folks are not going to want to hear any more about saving the plant,or the world. I hope.

I am privately cheering on Chucky Schumer and the Porno Fairness Doctrine to rally the troops. Please.

They are such blatant hypocrites, such obvious lying phonies,it is very frustrating.

I sincerely hope our remaining R’s fight the anticipated court appointments tooth and nail.
