It could have been Ron Paul. An anti-bailout, and anti-Fed candidate could have cleaned up...;but he was too kooky for the powers-that-be. Instead, we got McCain.
Give a rest will you?
Ron Paul didn't have a chance in hell and some his ideas were kooky.
We need to coalesce around someone who espouses all three legs of the conservative "stool", fiscal, defense, social. Somebody who does not repel a large segment of any of these legs. While we are at it, we need to let the RINOs know that they either get in line and learn to accept social conservatives or they get out of our party, NOW!

Why not tell the Social Conservatives to accept RINOS? Those two are what killing the GOP!!I do not want a GOVERNMENT that wants to know what I'm doing in my house!

After yet another failure, why don’t you “give it a rest.” Hasn’t your strategy done enough damage? You’re “stool” is broken as shown by two election disasters in a row. If only the GOP had listened to Ron Paul, rather than rely on your rickety “stool.” You can’t have fiscal responsibility and pay for the costs of world wide policing at the same time,,,,,as shown by the current financial crisis. Maintaining bases in over 14 countries costs money, whether in the form of taxes or Fed funny money.

I meant to say “maintaining bases in over 140 countries.”
