I’m looking at the Real Clear Politics site. I can’t watch the assholes on TV. Washington state went for McCain? I can’t believe that! Has the pendulum already starting swinging back or what?

I completely agree. A few of the people on this site are starting to embarrass me.

We just have to play the cards we're dealt.

Either Obama will have his hands tied and things won't change much or things will change greatly and everything will tank which will give us the chance to regroup.

I want to give a big high-five to John and Sarah for doing their best.

But I still need to wait until all the votes are counted, and all the vote fraud lawsuits are done with.

Amen. I was going to post my own vanity but then I saw yours, which would make mine redundant.

Barack Obama will be our President. Liberals whine when they experience defeat. Let’s show that we are better than that, that our lives are worthwhile not because of politicians but despite politicians.

Unlike liberals, we love our country and will never hope for national misfortune in order to win elections.

I’m listening to Atlas Shrugged on my iPod as I type this. Too funny. You are right on target. This country has been dipping its toes in the frigid pond of socialism for seventy years, testing those waters, flirting with them. Now it’s going to jump into that pond stark naked. Maybe it’s a curiosity that’s come of age. But it will learn its lesson once those freezing waters hit.

Right on, brother man. Those that don’t get over it are going to be miserable for a long time. Many of us are hopeful that President Obama WILL bring change: An end to the divisiveness of the past twenty years would be most welcome. It’s my hope that now that he’s won, that his victory will be so significant as to be a true mandate of the people’s faith in the executive to get this worthless Congress in line and start getting some actual work done, and I don’t believe that the Pelosi’s and the Reid’s of the legislature can necessarily count on an ally in the White House: THEY did not put Mr. Obama there, the American people did.

Obama promised things he couldn’t deliver even if the economy was growing by leaps and bounds, much less in these times. Think how angry those folks are going to be in two years, especially the ones who are intelligent enough to realize they were duped. In two years we can start cleaning up congress. You know we need to clean it up, many, on both sides of the house have been in there too long and are corrupted by the system.

I think it will times will become even more difficult, but we will pull through. At least we have something to fall back on. Pity the poor schmucks who think Obama is going to fill their gas tank, pay their mortgage, etc.

Next time guys, lets get a real conservative candidate. We had some good choices, we went center until we offered no real choice to the voters.

THANK YOU!!!

THANK YOU!!!

THANK YOU!!!

Tomorrow is a new day. Tomorrow is a better day. We’ll keep fighting. I sure will.

We just lost our country.

We now have two choices.

Submit.

Or resist.

I know what I must do.

Good luck, all.

Looks like the Dems won’t get the 60 senate seats they wanted. Being the rebels isn’t so horrible, I guess. I feel sad that so many of his votes come from people that want free stuff and resent those that have succeeded by their own labors.
I hope that he surprises us - in a good way, that is...

There’s a lot of really happy people out there, it is nice to see the smiles. But I can’t help but think a tipping point has been reached. We are seeing a crowd cheering the death of the values of “rugged individualism” that created this country and replacing it with an America guided by blame, envy and victimology, waiting to avenge their individual failures through the force of law.

The Dems will now be forced to bring their policies into some degree of compliance with reality.

The party of 'Bush sucks' will have to stand up for a change.

No more excuses, no more voting 'present'.

Every now and then Americans need to learn that freedom is not free.

We are about to learn that lesson again, good and hard this time, I fear.

Thank all of you who kept the faith. Keep it still, and close to your breast: you will need it.

Liberty is too precious and its champions too few to surrender its blessings for a handful of empty promises and worthless trinkets.

I'm going to sleep now. Tomorrow is really another day. A sad day, it's true, but I've had sadder.

I look forward to joining you all in the days ahead as we regroup and take the battlefield back from those who have temporarily seized it from us. We may be tested more severely than any of us would desire in the coming days and years, but I am not one to question God's will. As unpopular as it is in an age of irrational fear and sacrifice and dependency, I know that we can win the fight for Liberty.

Good night.

I can imagine the next 4 yrs WILL be this...”well I inherited a big mess from Bush and it’s much worse than I thought and it’s gonna take me 8 yrs to fix this mess”...

It’ll STILL ALL be Bush’s fault! Everything that happens, they’ll blame Bush or the rotten republicans

Rubbish. In the challenges we faced in the past, this was still a GODLY and GOD FEARING country. THAT IS NO LONGER THE CASE.

Many who claim to 'believe' are redefining God and Scripture to align with their own personal desires, not God's. Morality has been tipped completely on its head.

Europe learned nothing from the World Wars and has fallen headlong into socialism. We are fast on their tail.

This was our last 'election.' I am looking for the soma kool-aid; I want to be just another mindless drone, unaware that I am witnessing the collapse of civilization.

Thanks for the post. You are correct. We have had a set back, but we are still the greatest nation in the world. There will probably be some hardship, but we will regroup and the people of the United States will prevail.

Sure thing. We'll sit quietly at the back of the bus.

After all, it's best not to struggle, to make waves, or to draw too much attention to ourselves. Wouldn't want Obama to not like us now would we...
