With all due respect, I have to disagree with those who say that Sen. Obama has not achieved anything significant yet. He has quite a few impressive record setting achievements to present to America. He has managed to raise more money for his campaign than any other presidential candidate. $600,000,000 is no small amount, even if it comes from very rich people like George Soros, very rich companies like Goldman Sachs and a stream of unidentifiable foreign contributors. He has managed to gather more foreign votes than American ones. As a Kenyan newspaper said recently, the world has elected Barack Obama president of the United States and is now waiting to see if the Americans will reject him on November 4. But his most important achievement to date has not been getting enough press.
In less than a year Sen. Obama has managed to divide our country to the degree it has not seen for over a hundred years.
Remember the time when it was ok to disagree with or even dislike a presidential candidate? If youre reading this, youre old enough to remember, since it was just a year ago. Its not ok anymore.

Fascism
I fear the end of our great American experiment may be coming to an end. Sadly, there is nothing that can be done to bring it back. If Congress is dominated by democratic socialists and we have a Marxist in the White House, we cannot achieve anything legislatively. And, once they appoint their biased justices, we'll have no redress in that system. The only recourse will be civil war....something that would likely result in a more horrible slaughter than our first civil war.
Perceptive article
The greatest gift Americans have is that they have experienced success and prosperity. They know what it tastes like and will always strive to have it.
If Obama wins, he won’t win again. Republicans understand capitalism. They will organize to vote in the Democrat primary to make sure hes not even on the ticket again. I think most conservatives now wish it was Clinton who won the primary.
While I see the slippery slope as you do, I don’t believe for a moment that America will fall...the problem with the Obama supporters is that really don’t understand history (and they call Palin dumb) and they don’t see the play unfolding on the stage in front of them. But, they will. When things don’t go as promised, when the economy suffers, when the middle class loses their jobs because of the taxes on the boss, when their rose colored glasses are mudd stained from Obama’s shoes walking on them without care, (like he’s walking on the ‘wealthy’ without care), then they will get it...and that means no re-election.
If Obama and the Dems are elected, it will be the end of America as we know it. History has shown us time and time again that even the mightest nations fall from within before they fall from outside forces. Socialism has never worked. We now live in a society that lives on bread and the circus. Rome had her Caligula and America has her Obama.
I wish I had your optimism. I believe Obama will only need one term to see to it that there are no other national elections for president. (And no - I wasn’t one who thought Clinton would find a crisis to enable him to continue in the presidency.) At that point, it won’t matter how much buyers remorse exists....and the libs running Congress will be in league with their “dear leader.”
Sure, history repeats itself and why wouldn’t America be vulnerable to a dictator keeping hold? The BIGGEST fear is this national security force he wants....I do see all of possibilities just as you say them...but I refuse to believe that our ship will turn so fast. Right now our concerns are “paranoid” to millions of people who aren’t understanding what we are warning about.
Ron Paul sounded like a nut for a while but many of his words are spot on....and all of a sudden as the economic crises happened just as Ron Paul was warning they would, people started to listen. He’s one guy. There are tens of millions of us who’ve been warning.
