The fact that they are having this conversation in Nadler’s district is a serious indication of issues for Obama’s campaign.
I grew up in Nadler’s district. When I moved away, they probably lost a third of their registered Republicans.
The very idea that someone would be this confrontational about this particular subject, in what looks like a synagogue, probably on the upper west side of Manhattan, is astounding.

wow - why so late to the party?

It's not that he wasn't courageous. He didn't walk out on Rev. Wright because he BELIEVED/BELIEVES in Black Liberation Theology! BLT is a Marxist belief, it grew out of Liberation Theology which got it's start in Central America.
This is who Obama is.

Jerrald Nadler seems like he still can’t courageously put down the cheeseburger. He had weight loss surgery five years ago and he’s still a blimp.

The wheels are coming off the Obama campaign this weekend. I went by the Obama headquarters here in the South Hills about 1pm and it had 5 people in it, they had a phone bank setup for at least 30. Even that watching that weeble Scotty Rasmussen, he has softened his “It's all locked up for Obama” bilge. He said “Wll McCain has made progress in key battlegrounds but will it be enough, that depends on turnout”. Well no crap Sherlock. This tool gets paid to make educated guesses for his well heeled handlers and then makes non sensical statements like...well depends on turnout.

The way I interpret this Nadler comment: they know he’s in trouble with older Jews in Florida, so they’re sending Jewish Democrats out to try to rally the ghost of FDR.
Nadler HAS to say something like this, doesn’t he? He can’t admit the truth, can he: that Obama agrees with Wright. Always has, always will.

hehe...silly me for not reading the post with the video! This was in Boca, where he’s bound to get more static than the upper west side, but still...

Jerry, the Hutt, Nadler, is in Boca Raton FL? I guess he was there to talk to the resident absentee ballots about voting here in FL too? Amazing, they even have a Rep living in Maryland running for the HOR for their district in Fla. Geez that’s as bad as they having to bring in someone from from Massachusetts or Arkansas to run for the Senate in NY. Dems never cease to amaze me by how they manage to get away with it and not a peep from the Republicans. I’ll stay as an Independent. No I didn’t vote, I’m just one of those people that want to be part of the surge on traditional Election “DAY”. I took heat today from my daughter about being so pro Palin, I told her she was the same age as her and that she should be running in her place and see if she likes the BS the press put her through. I can’t wait for 2012, I want Palin NOW!!!

Holy Cow. Rasmussen was saying, it will be close and depend on turnout?
They must all be finally figuring out what we've seen for a month. This guy is smoke and mirrors.

Boca Raton is just a little bit south of Manhattan’s UWS.

No Rassmussen said things were tightening, but overall his tone was still abit negative. I am not gauging my enthusiasm on what fatty predicts. Like taking stock advice form Jim Cramer, sure he's hit it on a few elections but with Obama in the primaries he has been a flop. He is more of a perfect reverse barometer for me.

I live in Boca Raton and voted at City Hall on Friday. Although City Hall is downtown and most of the retirees live in the west part of town, I can tell you that there was not that usual feeling of overbearing democrat confidence. The lines were long, people were quiet, and I actually heard a college-age woman behind me say to her friend that she doesn’t know how anyone can vote Obama.
I will tell you another thing. The unspeakably insufferable Robert Wexler, the truest Republican hater of them all, has been very quiet. He was active for Obama before O’Reilly blew him out of the water when he revealed that the clown lives in MD and hasn’t had a house here in 10 years. Wexler is the darling of the retired Jewish community here - to have him so quiet in this tight race is unheard of. Giuliani has been in town quite a lot lately and gotten good Pro-McCain press. Lieberman has been here a lot as well and gets mixed response - not all negative, some very attentive audiences. In sum, the retired Jewish vote here is normally a block vote of 80%+. This year, they are conflicted - even the local TV news reports it this way. Any erosion of that block vote is very bad news to Obama.
I am seeing lots of good anti-Obama ads during the Dolphins game, but no Rev. Wright yet.

We have Obama on audio, reading from his book saying "
white man's greed" quoting Rev. Wright.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7fi8STNlxM Obama: "Some of the common factors that effect Bosnia or Los Angeles or all kinds of places on this earth and that is the tendancy for one group to try to suppress another group in the interest of power or greed or resources."
Obama: "Whether you are a white executive living out in the suburb who doesnt want to pay taxes to inner city children for them to go to school..."
[also in
full interview at 9:22 and 12:20]
New 1995 Obama video on Wright "Wright who is my paster and he is a wonderful man".
"My own faith which is not necessarily a traditional faith".
"Rev. Wright, my pastor who I speak about in a chapter the book, represents the best of what the Black church has to offer"

Huh? Nadler’s district is in Manhattan, NY (and part of Brooklyn). He must have been invited down to try to appeal to all of those NY emigres to help save the Obamessiah in FL.

Obama agrees with Rev. Wright so completely that he did not imagine there could be any problem..... but if he had been concerned about the impact of such a “spiritual mentor” on his own political future then he did indeed lack the political courage to stand up, make a statement, and walk out on the vicious ranting Jeremiah Wright.
