Could we please stop with this ridiculous notion. Barack Obama has marginal speaking skills at best, there is nothing special whatsoever with his ability to communicate. He inherited a 50-50 country to begin with, he has received hundreds of millions of dollars from overseas contributors and they have used that money to overwhelm the media, the voter registration processes, the blogs, and other propaganda. And he still ain’t out of the woods yet. There is nothing more to this clown than that.

It isn't as much Obama's speaking skills as it is his speechwriter and vocal coach, George Lakoff. I disagree that his speaking skills are marginal- look at how crowds react to him.

I wish it was as simple as him just BS'ing someone. Don't listen to the direct words he said, listen for what he does behind the words- rhythms, speech patterns, sounds or gestures he makes on specific words, the way he personalizes messages and uses imagery to make a thought stick in your mind.

Picture in your mind, for a moment, a cult leader. You've seen the videos on the news, how they speak, how all the followers seem glassy eyed listening to him. Remember how they all sat around, moving together, rocking or swaying. Think about how you wanted to slap them out of the trance and say wake up. They often aren't even in comfortable situations. Picture yourself where they are sitting, in a barn, field, wherever, listing to this leader. How can you hear with rationality in the uncomfortable situation, yet, they are doing it. Why don't those people get up and walk away? They are being manipulated with more than just the words you hear. There is a hidden message. Next time you listen or watch Obama, look for these things. Remember what you just pictured with the cult leader, then look at what is happening when Obama speaks. You will see the similarity and it is shocking.

The power of “subliminal messaging” has been demonstrated several times, with varying results.

It appears to be an adaptation of the principles of psychologist B.F. Skinner, and his theories on “operant behavior”. By using some of the more extreme examples, living creatures may be “taught” to do things that absolutely contradict what may be considered as survival skills, and engage in self-destructive behavior, with what seems to be great relish.

This whole campaign was based on finally applying “operant behavior” that has been taught in schools for the past quarter century or more, and inducing enough of these “trained” human lab rats to act in a manner totally inimical to their personal well-being.

This is an article from The Association of American Physicians and Surgeons. Link to original: http://www.aapsonline.org/newsoftheday/0089

If anyone was qualified to comment on Barak Obama’s use or non-use of NLP, they are.
