Perhaps there is some fidelity to his race behind Powells endorsement, but I think people underestimate what a doctrinaire leftist the man is. I believe Ken Timmerman's assertion in Shadow Warriors that Powell was part of a coordinated effort to destroy the Bush presidency from within. Many in this forum have noted how many we have trusted in the past have turned on us, and I don't think it's mere coincidence. We greatly underestimate what capable and determined enemies we on the right have.

Powell just handed the election to McCain If Powell can turn around 180 degrees from his lifelong political views to vote for someone with his skin color, then lot of democrat whites are going to cross the line and vote for a guy (and America’s sweetheart girl) with their same skin color. What goes around comes around. It is so sad to see Powell switching positions. How long will it take for him to stab Obama in the back sooner….
