Our Pastor, Msgr. Patrick Bishop of Transfiguration Church in Marietta, Ga. of the Catholic Diocese of Atlanta announced from the altar tonight that neither party is PRO LIFE. He said Obama is not Pro Life because of his position on Abortion and Sarah Palin is not Pro Life because she favors the death penalty.

I guess this is giving his tacit approval of Obama by saying that one candidate is not any better than the other!!

It’s Gramscian hegemony...not just browbeating.

Because he wants a huge win in the popular vote. His wife said they want a mandate.

God bless you in NY. Must be tough, huh. Like yours, my cousins I was talkin about said that they really wanted Hillary. Why it is that they have such an affinity for her but a visceral reaction like dracula to a crucifix is a bit mystifying, but I’m still so grateful to hear them spout it. Specially being in MO, where we need them. One more story. My one relative who has converted to R recently told me that she went down to the local R headquarters in Lebanon to pick up her McCain yard signs, and this Democrat walked in and he was super pissed. I said, uh-oh what happened? He was pissed because he went to get an Obama sign and they wanted $5.00 for it. I couldn’t hardly believe that made him a McCain supporter just like that, but apparently it did.

I put this on another thread earler. It made our week!!
Just wanted to share something uplifting. We live in a VERY liberal county ( Erie )in NY. We take a ride out every weekend to antique stores. Each week as we would ride through two towns I would wonder at all the Obama signs out there in the countryside. Well we just got back from out outing and there were NO Obama signs at all. They all vanished. Now unless a Rep. fairy flew down and made them all *poof*, I have to believe that people are waking up to what it would be like with the empty suit as POTUS.
Seeing what happened this week was “ Joe the plumber” I’m wondering if the fear of socialism has hit them. Sorry this is so long but I was just so excited to see all those signs gone!!!!! God Bless McCain, Palin and Joe and keep them safe. :)

Well, I have a confession to make. Today DH and I decided to go shopping for furniture. I wore my McCain-Palin shirt but because it was cool out I decided to wear a jacket also. Within 1/2 hour of shopping I began to feel quite intimidated by the looks I was getting and out and out laughing in my face that I buttoned up my jacket so my shirt wasn't visible. I'm a way bigger wuss than I ever thought.

We have the only McCain/Palin sign on our block/area. And a HUGE republican flag that fills the picture window. If glass comes flying in one night, lead will fly out. ;)

I believe the confessional routine in the article is more of a hyperbole...people (Catholics) are not ‘admitting’ publicly that they aren’t going to vote for The Chosen One. Because if you don’t vote 0bama...well, you are racist...the ‘Father forgive me...’ is an attempt at humor.

Due to the Parkway East construction, I had to drive thru the Southside flats (coming from Greentree) today. There were a few 0bama signs (highly expected)....but (surprise!) McCain signs as well. My boys kept score. Almost even on the SS...but going out 837...all 0bama...the rest of the way (McKeesport, White Oak, Irwin) solid McCain signage. So, in my estimation the ‘T’ factor has crept in closer to the City of Pgh. than expected.

No, the Catholic Church is not taking a pro-abortion stand (!!)

If you read the whole article, you'll see that Fr. Jonathan Morris' point is that people are "whispering" that t they're not voting for Obama, no matter who they're talking to (priest or not) because (1) they don't want to be characterized as racists, and (2) pro-Obama supporters are so nasty the anti-Obamas are afraid of reprisals.

Do you understand now?

My own daughter who is very liberal told me that if she saw a McCain sticker on a car, she would do something to it!

Can we help Melian motivate her daughter to do good, instead of evil?

It is a blessing to be helpful, as long as we do no harm, IMHO.

Parishoners will tend to have values similar to their priest. If not, they usually find a different church where they fit in better.

Exactly, and why NObama can go on all he wants to about not knowing what Rev. Wright's beliefs are and why we know he's lying.

Some folks at my church had their tires slashed at night in front of their house. They had a McCain/Palin sticker on their car, and the police advised them that was most likely the reason. They went and bought new tires, but left on the sticker. That night, the new tires were slashed.

In California, peaceful demonstrators for Proposition 8 have been violently assaulted outside their churches, or had their homes vandalized.

It’s always the leftists who are violent. They pretend to be the victims of intolerance, but they are the perpetrators of it. Isn’t this really totalitarianism, when a person has to whisper to his priest that he is voting prolife?

America, no longer the land of the free, and not much longer the land of the brave, at this rate.

The main thing I've seen people who are liberal move away from Obama on is abortion (by that I mean open their eyes about abortion first, then Obama).

Since 1973 over 50 MILLION American babies have been killed.

That comes to 3500 EVERY DAY, one EVERY 20 SECONDS. More Americans die in abortuaries every three days than have died in the war on terror and that includes ALL of the deaths from 9/11/01 and Iraq and Afghanistan. More Americans die in abortuaries every year than have died in ALL AMERICAN WARS COMBINED. More African-Americans die in abortuaries every two days than have died from racist crimes since the end of the Civil War.

And if people think we need higher taxes, think about this, abortion has cost American taxpayers AT LEAST $35 TRILLION since 1973.

Researcher: Abortions Cost Economy $35 Trillion Since 1970 in Lost Productivity

That is awesome!!

Kinda reminds me of the

survivors will be shot again.”
sign.

Right.

But we were talking about her daughter’s willingness to deface private property because she disagrees with someone.

This FReeper could probably use our assistance.
Some good wishes, or prayers.
