My mother died at 85. In the years prior to her death, she had dementia - bad enough that we couldn’t keep her in our house, since she sometimes became violent.

However, my wife & I took her out 2-3 times a week to eat and shop. Our youngest daughter saw her all the time. We just had to be on the watch for increasing temper.

If nothing else, when he went to Hawaii, Obama SHOULD have spent a fair bit of time with his grandmother. Instead, he spent about an hour, with campaign aides - NOT his family.

Disgusting.

During the recent visit to HI the family went to see grandma from 6:50 to 7:15 pm taking a fruit basket and books on tape, but in the Hawaiian papers no further mention was made of the entire family visiting and they(the local papers) did a schedule daily of what was going on! Madelyn Dunham will be 86 on the 26th of this month.

It would only take a person one hour to make a withdrawal and pay a granny hush money. Typical white Granny is probably set for life now.
