"Guilt-ridden white Republicans?????"I believe he's alluding to the loss of "moral authority" to honestly deal with racial issues that has existed in our society since the 60's. The author Shelby Steele describes it very well in his excellent book White Guilt. It's the reason the left can call anybody who opposes them a racist and get away with it (like Barney Frank recently did). You can easily observe it in the way people always say "I'm not a racist but......." before they give an opinion on any issue involoving race.

[Guilt-ridden white Republicans?????]
Lol, makes you want to laugh - and then cry at the audacity of it all. Audacity and Obama have been used over and over.

Only a black can criticize blacks?
I don't think that's what he's saying. The gist is, a Black man can make the case for Republicans to other Blacks better than a White man can. If you doubt that's true, I encourage you, as a White person, to go into a Black neighborhood and go door-to-door stumping for McCain. You'll quickly see the truth of Mr. Hayes's statement.

(Ignore the polls. They're meant to shape public opinion, not measure it.)

Based on your example it sounds like you are agreeing with me. LOL
