Obama is not bright enough to be the anti-Christ. There is no need to worry. McCain is only down a couple points nationwide even after the bailout. Against Hillary he would be over 20 down now. Obama is very beatable. McCain sucks as a candidate, but Obama sucks even more so I really doubt Obama will win this absent major voting fraud.
Obama may be an antichrist, he's not the Beast.
Obama may not be “THE” anti-Christ, but he is AN anti-Christ. Of course, there are many of those.

Dear Cat,
I know from experience that getting too deep into Revelation can drive a person up the wall trying to figure it out. It is so full of figurative things, a lot of which have already happened according to Biblical scholars who are a lot more learned in Bible prophecy and scholarship than the average person. (Halley’s Bible Commentary is a pretty good one, I think. Only thing was that Halley was very intently prejudiced about the Catholic Church and thought the Pope was the Anti-Christ. I don’t know about that at this juncture. We all tend to try to figure out the Bible based on what we know at the present time, and we can read a lot into it.) I personally at this time tend to think that Mohammedanism (Islam) may well be the harlot referred to in Revelation, but that’s just my take on it as things stand now. - You may be on to something about Obama, but our best hope is to pray for what we want in this election and not lose hope and not worry overmuch about Obama. I personally think the whole Democrat Party is promoting antichrist principles. Only the Lord can deliver us from that evil.
I do know that in prophecy when “waters” are referred to as in someone rising out of the “waters”, that usually is referring to the multitudes of peoples. All the heads, and horns and things like that, I have to leave to the scholars of Bible prophecy to interpret sensibly. We should read it, but not get into a depression trying to understand it.
The main thing is this, though. Christ said, “Fear not.” Scripture tells us to “Cast ALL your cares on the Lord, for He careth for YOU.” I’m simply praying for the McCain/Palin ticket; however, I am simply telling the Lord, “Thy will be done.” He knows the end of things and the beginning of things, and His kingdom is our true government, for “the Government shall be upon His shoulders”. Man’s government is imperfect and is coming to an end one of these days sooner or later, so “Trust in the Lord with all thine heart, and lean not unto thine own understanding, In all thy WAYS acknowledge Him and He shall direct THY paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes (not thinking we’re so smart). Fear the Lord (not some antichrist), and depart from evil. It shall be health unto thy navel and marrow unto thy bones.”
I’m sure there are a lot of good Bible commentaries out there that explain a lot about Revelation. In reading that book in the Bible, remember that a lot of it has already happened, and we do not have to be afraid of what is to come if we trust in the Lord.
A fragment from the oldest surviving copy of the New Testament, dating to the Third century, gives the more mundane 616 as the mark of the Antichrist.See: When I learned the sign of the beast 666 is really 616 and Beasts real mark devalued to 616′
