Why Is Obama Paying Lawyers Instead of Producing Birth Certificate?

Last week a Judge Ordered Senator to produce his birth certificate, Yesterday the Senator's lawyers have filed for a delay of the order. Now I know most people think that the "birth certificate" issue is as legitimate as the tooth fairy. But My question to them is, if it is so illegitimate, why is the Senator paying lawyers instead of just giving the birth certificate document to the Judge?

Country is Headed to a Constitutional Crisis

(Lafayette Hill, Pennsylvania – 10/06/08) - Philip J. Berg, Esquire, the Attorney who filed suit against Barack H. Obama challenging Senator Obama’s lack of “qualifications” to serve as President of the United States, announced today that Obama and Democratic National Committee [DNC] filed a Joint Motion for Protective Order to Stay Discovery Pending a Decision on the Motion to Dismiss (which was) filed on 09/24/08.

While legal, Berg stated he is “outraged as this is another attempt to hide the truth from the public; it is obvious that documents do not exist to prove that Obama is qualified to be President.” The case is Berg v. Obama, No. 08-cv-04083.

Their joint motion indicates a concerted effort to avoid the truth by attempting to delay the judicial process, although legal, by not resolving the issue presented: that is, whether Barack Obama meets the qualifications to be President.

It is obvious that Obama was born in Kenya and does not meet the “qualifications” to be President of the United States pursuant to our United States Constitution. Obama cannot produce a certified copy of his “Vault” [original long version] Birth Certificate from Hawaii because it does not exist.

Furthermore, and actually more important is Obama’s Certificate of Citizenship that he received when he returned from Indonesia, as if it exists it would indicate that Obama was “naturalized” and also not able to be President.

The DNC has promised “we the people” an Open and Honest Government and has promised to uphold our United States Constitution. The DNC has failed their promise. DNC Chairperson Howard Dean should resign as he has not and is not fulfilling his responsibility of seeing that a “qualified” candidate is on the ballot as the Democratic candidate for President of the United States.

Berg stated that a response in opposition will be filed in the next day or so to the Defendants Motion for a Protective Order.

Why would Obama do this? How does he benifit from NOT doing the right thing?
More importantly whyn would the Democrat National Poltical Machine allow him to go on like this without putting this question to an end with THE ONLY MEANS that would do so - a legit/ legal documented birth certificate.
Even more importantly what happens if this man is NOT a US citizen and does somehow manage to get elected? What happens 6 months later when proof that he is not a citizen is uncovered?
We the people get Biden because Obama gets impeached or charged or whatever? WHY? Biden would not have been the VP if not chosen by the perosn that would be getting impeached.

What a freakin nightmare. One really has to wonder what the Democrats are thinking. if this goes belly up down the road the Democrat Party would be finished..

While we're all wringing our hands about what McCain will say at the dabate tonight, there's this serious fire starting to get out of control. Read the comments (click on the heading to the article on Berg's web site):

A day. A week. What happens if this takes years to find out? Is he required to show this before he gets put on the ballot? I am trying to ask the question without asking it if you know what I mean.

Inasmuch as I like a good conspiracy theory, I think that Occam's Razor is more applicable here. One of the prior posters thought that his race was listed as "Caucasian"....strikes me as a possibility. Something money-related (although how, I don't know) is a good possibility too.

I remember all of the brouhaha over Kerry not releasing his military records, and the upshot of it was that they revealed he got lower grades than Bush while in college. BFD.

If it occurs before the election, he would be immediately disqualified (following the necessarily expedited trip all the way to the SCOTUS). The Democratic National Committee is empowered to name a replacement candidate, which would undoubtedly be Hillary! Clinton.

If he wins the election and this occurs before the inauguration, we'd again have the legal whirl, followed by the election being thrown into the House (which would most likely select Hillary!).

If he wins and is inaugurated, then Obama will be forced out of office (again after the legal stuff) and Joe Biden becomes president in accordance with established rules of succession.

My guess ... if this bears any kind of fruit at all ... is that it would become an issue post-election. Hard to imagine that it would be resolved within the next month.

He was born in Hawaii a couple of years earlier before Hawaii became a state

He was born outside the country and is not eligible to run

The only reason to pass a NSA background check is to work at or work with NSA.
The Constitution does NOT require any background checks for presidential eligibility. It sets the eligibility standard as natural born. Its the states (Remember those sovereign but now cowardly entities!) responsibility to determine ballot eligibility to be listed on the ballot.

Probably so -- I seriously doubt there's anything to the 'citizenship' angle, but his reticence in producing the thing is becoming rather interesting.

If you'll hand me Mr. Occam's razor, I would suggest that the easist explanation is that there's nothing at all wrong with the BC; that they're waiting to see if it causes a serious controversy; and if so they'll wait until the Wednesday before the election to release it with, "see? Nothing to see here."

The idea would be to use that non-controversy, with its simple resolution, to provide a smoke-screen for the more serious questions about Obama's associates, past, and lack of qualifications.

Every one of us can go to our lock box and produce a valid birth certificate. Our children have to have one to play sports and enter school.
Why in the world is this not a requirement before someone runs for President of the United States?

It will only work if McCain goes public about the BC controversy. He won't unless he actually has the goods.. and I still think he won't!

I thought that whistleblower protection was for protecting actions, that while illegal, still shed light on illegal corruption in government.

I'd think that the courts would protect a whistleblower who violates personal data privacy laws in order to expose someone who is perpetuating a fraud under protection from those laws.

Data privacy laws cannot shield a person who is running for president under false pretenses, while jailing the person who exposed the fraud.

Occam’s razor also behooves us to think of the teenaged pregnant girl whose parents were way out lefties who probably barely pooh-poohed daughter showing up with a half-African baby on board. There would be no reason for her to fly to Kenya to have the baby. One would think Obama senior would also not be so thrilled to bring home to his first wife his new white one, though he did that later on with his other new white wife...
