There you go blaming your own inadequacies on your husband! :-)

I'm sure he doesn't have any “pre-birth” memories of it, but he won't deny that sudden, loud noises drive him crazy. He really pitches a fit when his brother cranks the amp up. Oldest son is actually pretty talented, but he does play some screeching, distorted heavy metal that makes MY teeth hurt. They are “forced” by mean old mom to share a bedroom, and before I can yell for him to turn it down, the youngest is making noise slamming the back door getting out of dodge. He really hates it when Boston's More Than A Feeling comes on the radio and mom cranks it up! :)

I wasn’t blaming my inadequacies on him. I was just letting you know I was nuts WELL before I had kids. Marrying him was the proof. He is equally insane. :0)

Oh, too funny! I’ve noticed some of the same things with my kids. Before I can yell at them to clean their room (two of them share, too) the one who is more of a neat freak than the other is already having a fit! LOL
You know, it seems the older I get the more loud noises bother me — don’t know why that is exactly, just something I’ve noticed. My husband got a really nice music system a couple years back, and I cringe on Saturdays when he turns it up too loud! I used to LOVE loud music, but now it all depends on what song, and what kind of mood I’m in! LOL
As far as shooting goes I forgot to mention this: I’ve noticed the same thing as your son... It’s fine if I’m the one in control pulling the trigger, but if it’s someone else - MAN do I blink and jump - even if I can tell when it’s coming! LOL So strange...

I talked with my pastor about it, and he didn't feel that there was any proof, biblical or otherwise, to support the notion that the soul exists prior to the spark of life in the womb. He was very receptive to the child being aware, and the soul being present, once that spark of life begins.
Jeremiah 1:5 seems to speak to it. God grants us life, and through His saving grace, eternal life.
Who knows what transpired during the time just before the spark of life begins and the soul enters the body? Perhaps the child can see a fleeting glimpse of Heaven!
I'm thrilled that your daughter has a connection to God. Nurture that; the soul is transcendent. A nourished soul, walking a faithful path, will steer her clear of a lot of painful mistakes down the road.
