Mr McLame....choose someone in his/her 50’s (younger than you but not young enough to refocus voters on *your* age) who has an impressive resume (governor or Senator...*not* a Congressman). No pro-abortion types...no leftists who are correct on only one issue (yah, that's you Mr Lieberman)....

GW’s former budget director? Is this a good idea? At least he resigned, but I mean...

If it’s Portman, it’s a massively dumb idea. What’s the Democrats major argument against McCain? That he’s Bush III. So, McCain appoints Bush’s former budget director? Who are the nuts pushing this wacko idea?

The guy is a little gray bureaucrat. He’d have zilch change against a Hillary or any other Democrat should McCain get elected and serve only one term. He would confirm Obama’s basic attack strategy that McCain is a Bush clone. He’s a longtime Washington insider. He’s the last person McCain should appoint.

I like Portman. He’s pro-family and received an 89% rating from the ACU. McCain could pick a lot worse, to say the least.
