Well, that could make the combined campaigns into the opening line of a great bar joke. You know, “A half-black, half-white guy, a blond woman, and an old white haired dude walk into a bar . . . “
Biden has been lying exceedingly low of late. It may very well be him. He’s been unnaturally (for him) quiet and missing in action. I think he’s been told to remain low key and that he could very well be the VP choice.
Obama needs to pick someone not too young and not to old. Biden fits right in that middle range. Same for McCain, not too young and not too old. So Romney would be a good pick for McCain.
Obama if he picks too young or too inexperienced will look like he chose a clone of himself. Hmmm, Obama just mentioned Biden in a speech he is giving on TV right now. Referring to Biden’s Georgia trip.
McCain also can’t have another older guy like himself (or another white-haired guy like Christ). I can hear the jokes that would engender right now. McCain also can’t have someone too young or it would look like he was the guy (or gal’s) grandfather. Would remind a lot of us of Bush the Elder choosing the wet behind the ears Dan Quayle.
If it is Biden, then McCain needs a great debater to go up against motor-mouth Biden at the VP debate. Romney would fit that bill. Can’t think of anyone else that would. Both Romney and Biden are similar in age (although Biden is somewhat older) but they are both seasoned debaters. So Romney could take on Biden and swat him down. Can’t think of anyone else who would fit that bill for McCain with the exception of Lindsey Graham, heaven forbid, who is also a great debater. I’ve heard Pawlenty, and he isn’t quick on his intellectual feet when debating with Dems. Too weak. Need a pit bull not afraid to go toe to toe, like Romney. So, bring it on, Biden. And may McCain choose his VP wisely. At least McCain will know who the Dem’s VP choice will be before he has to make his, although I’m sure McCain already knows who his will be. Just hope he doesn’t go wild card on us, doesn’t live up to his loose cannon reputation. Now is not the time to make a tactical mistake.
LOL!
Obama been bite'in alright. :)~
If it’s Biden Obama will lose in a landslide. Biden is a RI thug supported by the criminals in RI.
He also is a liar and steals speeches - good fodder for the late night comedy shows.
Well, nobody says politics as usual like Joe Biden. If you called central casting and asked them for politics as usual, they’d send you Joe Biden.
Nothing beats a double-senator ticket! </sarc>
Democrats In Panic Mode ~ Smell of Fear in the Air
I can hear the Howard Dean primal scream right now!
This is such great news..if true!
Richardson? No way. That would put two minorities on the same ticket. No non-Caucasian has been President before, let alone Vice President. Such a ticket would drive the majority of voters away in droves.
WooHOO!
No, but he might deliver RI. MA and NY. LOL
“Mom, did you hear that Fast Eddie is voting for Mrs. Clinton?”
Excellent point...
Could be Obama’s way of cutting off Rendell’s convention revolt off at the knees, and secure PA for Dems if he can’t...
In the end, nothing matters if he loses it at convention.
I am going to plagiarize that!
:o)
He needs the ‘foreign policy cred’ (I hate that word)
Today’s morning DJ (Smerconish) thinks that a Biden pick would play well here in SE Pa.
Obama picks typical white Senator for Running mate.
