I was thinking that it would be nice if someone, created a thread that solicited signatures of FR members that congratulate Rush and show appreciation for his 20 years of fighting liberalism with his show. In listening to his program this week, they have played many accolades from prominent conservatives. I wish FR could add to them. I would do it, but I am not very good at this sort of stuff.

Rush, can’t claim I was around at the beginning, but I did first hear you in the summer of ‘89. Godspeed for another 20 years; you’re the antidote to everything noxious about liberalism (which is, needless to say, everything about liberalism).

Rush Limbaugh, radio talk show host. A man barely alive. Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology. We have the capability to build the world's first bionic talk show host. Rush Limbaugh will be that man. Better than he was before. Better, smarter, faster.

Rush, I have been with you since the beginning. Thanks for 20 years of truth, news, inspiration, and entertainment. It's been a joy, and may God Bless you with many decades more.

And congratulations on your new contract! I was thrilled for two reasons: 1) you deserve it, and 2) I know it drives the Libtards even crazier than they already are.

Hubba hubba!!

I was eating lunch in my car in 1988. When you first heard Rush he seemed incredibly egotistical until you had heard the show for a couple weeks and you started to catch on. Some of his opening monologues have been inspirational. He has opened up and expressed the feeling of Conservatives for more than 20 years.

End of the Universe in Climate Cooling Dittoes. Hopefully, as we all turn into one colossal dark cold nothingness Rush’s voice will still be traveling through space!

a **LONG** time ago I went to a real estate event with mrs. steveo at what was the 'Red Lion Inn' in Sacramento. Rush was the MC for the event and had just started at KFBK.

Everyone was milling about and he was there standing on the stage looking lost. I was going to go up and say hello but I didn't want to lose my place in the free beer line. Mrs. did however and recalls he was very polite, but again had that "what am I doing here" look.

As I listened to Rush I gradually got out of my lib leanings and also changed my mind about the rearing of my child.

My daughter at four was very intelligent and precocious. I was dead set against any special treatment for her or special classes. Again my mind changed and I was determined that she would rise to her full potential. So I made sure she did her homework and studied but most importantly I drove into her little brain the notion 'unless you're 100% positive you did your best effort, go back and do it again'. I was drawing on his mantra of demanding excellence in whatever you do, something that was never drilled into my mush-pot when I was growing up.

So she worked hard and by the time she got to high school she was number one in her class (of 450?). She went to Cal Berkeley and then afterwards joined the military and is now a doctor.

Rush changed my way of thinking, planted the seed, I did some weeding and now the military has a pretty smart doctor. I always wanted Rush to know this... maybe now he will. 22 years of listening and I still look forward to how he is going to agree with the way I think.

For me, the transition began when I pulled the lever for President Reagan. I hold Rush personally responsible for my final transformation from liberal to conservative.

Thanks Rush!!

Thanks, Rush. I’ve been listening to you since September 11, 2001. My flight was re-routed to O’Hare and five strangers and I shared a rental car for a ten hour drive home. Had the person who’d secured the rental car not also picked the radio stations I’d not realized what I was missing. I now have a daily appointment with the radio for your broadcast. Congratulations on your twentieth, your new contract, and your next one!

Wonderful idea!

Thank you, Mr. Limbaugh.

You brought us conservatives together. (Even the ones who don’t FReep.)
;-)
You gave us a voice, and you’ve never backed down, which has helped more of us than you can imagine, stand up for what is right.
(Even with half your brain tied behind your back!)

Happy Anniversary!

Rush, you single-handedly turned my young skull full of mush into the free-thinking conservative mind it is today. Prior to the internet, you were my primary source of information and news analysis.

God bless you, sir. Happy 20th.

I first listened to Rush during the start of the First Gulf War. I was looking for up to date war news on the radio while working in the garage. A conservative who could discuss national issues and was funny! I was hooked! I was a Human Events subscriber during my college years, so Rush was an instant comrade in arms.

Happy 20th Anniversary Rush! Best wishes on the next 20 years!

Whenever I think about Rush Limbaugh I'm always reminded of this story.
There was once a man who lived on a flood plain. He ignored the warnings about the possible flooding and stayed in his home. Not only did the flood waters rise above the 2 foot dike he had constructed out of sandbags, but they rose to the eaves of his home. As he sat on his roof shivering in the rain, he prayed, “God please help me. Please rescue me.”

The very next instant he heard a man shouting. The man was a police officer and he was rowing a boat and offered to take him to higher ground. The stranded man refused and the policeman shook his head and rowed away. Again the man on the roof prayed! Just then a helicopter came along and a soldier was let down on a rope. He offered to strap the man into a harness and hoist him into the helicopter. Again the man refused and the helicopter flew away. Again the man prayed for God to make the flood go away. Just then a power boat came along and the person piloting the boat said, “You look like you need help. The waters are rising fast and the dam is about to break.” Again the man refused help.

A few minutes later, the dam broke and the man and most of his house were carried away by the raging torrent. Of course, the man was drowned. When he arrived in heaven he demanded an audience with God. When he talked to God face to face, he was very angry and said, “see here God, I was always taught that you answer prayer and I prayed and you did not answer me.”

God replied, “What are you talking about. You prayed and I sent two boats and a helicopter. What more did you want?”

I can't help but wonder if one day when we are face to face with God and ask him, “see here God, I was always taught that you answer prayer and I prayed and you did not answer me.”

God will reply, “What are you talking about. You prayed and I sent Rush Limbaugh and Ronald Reagan. What more did you want?”

Rush, I first heard you in Portland Maine in 1992. I wanted to check out this Scourge of the World that all my leftist magazines were telling me about.

You spun my head around and this leftist feminist became and still is a radical conservative.

Thank you.

Rush has done more to advance conservative studies than anyone I can think of by virtue of his extraordinarily large audience. An entire generation of American youth were exposed to Conservative thought (in addition to hearing it from their parents) by listening to him on the radio as their parents did. That helped to counterbalance the Liberal education so many children receive.

Rush is a true patriot and his intellect, capacity to understand the other side, principles and class serve in stark contrast to the Liberal machine.

Thank you, Rush!!!!!
