She helped to pioneer microcredit programs that made small amounts of capital available to weavers, blacksmiths and other low-income groups people who would otherwise have had no access to credit.
Ann helped the little guy to increase business. Something that Barry could well learn from. She more or less concluded that the poorer people were such because of a lack of capital not because they were not otherwise capable and that moneys should not be funneled through the village leaders because they used it to increase their own positions but capital should be spread out to the average little guy.
As she wrote in her dissertation, many government programs inadvertently foster stratification by channeling resources through village officials, who then used the money to further strengthen their own status.
It seems that Barry is doing the opposite. He is giving the biggest companies bail outs as they give themselves huge bonuses at the expense of the shareholders and workers. Barry also funnels funds through state and local governments. He hasn't done anything to help the average person create businesses and maintain businesses which is the backbone of society. Barry could learn a lot from his mother.

Correct ... says she was the kindnest, most
generous and what’s best in him he owes to her
... yet, he’s setting about to virtually destroy
the small businessman and our capitalist
system .. her very life’s work. Some tribute,
